It’s no secret that home staging can truly impact the equation when it comes to selling a home. So much so, that 96 percent of realtors claim that staging has impacted at least one of their buyers over the years. From a buyer’s perspective, they want to see a home they could see themselves living in for years to come.
If the house is empty, dated, needs a new paint job, etc., it is hard for them to imagine living their lives there. Furthermore, homes that are staged get a much larger higher view rate than non-staged homes. In a recent assessment of homes that were staged versus non-staged there was a 30% increase (on average) in site traffic for staged homes. More notable, according to the National Association of Realtors, 52% of active realtors surveyed said home staging has had a positive impact on the dollar value of the home.
With all that in-mind, and knowing that a staged home yields a higher overall return, why take a chance and go non-staged? Some believe it’s due to effort and the fee it may incur. One solution? Virtual staging. It’s a tremendous way to still leverage the benefits of staging, but without all the effort and the high-cost of physically staging a home.
Skip the Hassle
Physically staging, you’d need to move furniture, rugs, lamps, etc. in and out. And if it is a larger home, you’re then going up and down the stairs just to snap a few shots or take a few minutes of video. In addition, there’s the time needed to setup and break down before and afterward. Virtual staging allows your photographer to stage a home digitally which saves you a whole lot of time, and certainly the impending headaches.
Get This: Virtual Staging is Cheaper Than Actual Staging
Staggers typically charge a consultation fee of $300-$600, then on top of that, charge anywhere from $500-$600/room, per month. To bring that to layman’s terms, for an average-sized home of 2,000 sq.ft., that could run someone upwards of around $2,000 to $2,400. In addition, most stagers have a minimum contract time of three (3) months and you could be looking at over $7K to stage a home.
Virtual staging is a fraction of that cost! Virtual staging with Metro Virtual Tours runs at $45 per room, but we also have a number of promotions like five (5) rooms for $202! Feel free to send us a note at: 3dinfo@metrovirtualtours.com to learn more about current promotions.
